I haven’t got access to my record cleaning machine to run it through at the moment but there appears to be plenty of copies available to buy for yourself. Entices you in with the reverb and echoes then chugs along on an introspective journey.

The little story behind discovering this equisite piece of electronic music is by listening in to Alucidnation’s Eclectronica show on Chill DAB Radio (also available as a live stream and has a ‘listen again’ facility of past shows to download). I’ve been following his output for some time since his Induction album, anyhow, he’s got good taste and his show is worth checking out for varied tempos and vibes; he played this track a few weeks ago. I love the sheer happiness and hope that springs from these computer generated sounds, the perfect accompaniment to a carefree day when the sun is shining and it feels like everything’s gonna be alright.

Naturally, I had to get the album that this track is from and it’s dreamy melodies entrance from start to finish. Support his efforts by visiting his label website here and buy it all!!!

Giorgio Moroder – I Wanna Rock You

Bought the lp for the title track E=MC² that I had heard in a mix I downloaded last year but wow, this was an even better revelation, happy synth grooviness. I’ve had to play it around about five times a day since I first heard it, can’t get enough of it’s infectious vibe. Great cover for the lp, that’s one thick lip slug Giorgio is sporting – puts mine to shame.

This was a winning mix in the Discogs Mix Tournament and deservedly so. Although I didn’t like all the tracks on this mix and not convinced the mix title accurately reflects what the mix is about, it’s out-and-out eclecticism and the transitions between the disparate styles are just amazing, e.g. Kraftwerk into U2 plus Alan Vega into the B-52′s Queen Of Las Vegas which prompted me to buy the album it’s from.
