A convincing house mix that updates Steve Arrington’s 1985 song to the 90s, I say convincing because there are countless examples of lazy ‘updates’ of older tracks where the bpm has simply been adjusted upwards of 120 and a more house-like drum kick put over it and lo, it’s a house remix. Here the rather languid paced original is given the treatment, 1993 style, still keeping the enthusiasm and sheer positivity of Steve Arrington’s vocals intact. Released as one track on a regular DJ-only mailout provided by the DMC remix service which had been going since the earlier part of the previous decade. It may not appeal to purists but just for them, a YouTube link to the original is also included below so feel free to make your own mind up.
